Dr Mark and VetShop on TV - Pampered Pooches

We've all been really excited about seeing Dr Mark on television recently!  We've always known that Dr Mark has a way of explaining pet care concepts to kids, and this is backed up by the fact that recently he has been picked up by kids TV Show Totally Wild (Channel 10) to do a number of segements on pet care for boys and girls.

A couple of months ago he did a segement on "Pampered Pooches" and just how too much spoiling can lead our canine friends to picking up some bad habits. Check out the episode here:



Last week he filmed another segment for kids about First Aid for Pets. As soon as it goes to air, we'll let everyone know!

Cute Cat Photos on the Internet

Ok, I know there are literally millions of cute photos of dogs and cats out there on the internet. But sometimes one just catches your eye. Here is one I saw today and I just had to share it.

cat and kid spying fish.jpgI did learn the other day, that there is in fact a whole culture or sub group which has grown up around cute cat photos on the internet. Its even got a name. Its called "lolcat" (LOLL-kat), which according to Wikipedia is an image combining a photograph, most frequently of a cat, with a humorous and idiosyncratic caption.

Lucy is a female Tonkinese belonging to a friend of mine, Pauline. Pauline couldn't figure out how Lucy and Monster Cat kept escaping after being closed in the house at night, so she decided to set up her video camera to spy on them. This is the result.
